It looks like adoration, but my experience with turtles tells me the cat’s nose looks like something to nibble. Our turtles would sometimes sneak up and bite my toes hanging off the end of the chaise lounge when I’d sunbathe as a teen. Yes, turtles can sneak.

This South African tortoise doesn’t like to share his yard with anyone.
Pepper is a red-eared slider turtle who survived being eaten by a Golden Retriever named Bella, due to the quick thinking of their twelve year old owner and their vet. We hope Pepper is feeling better soon and that Bella stops taste-testing her companions.
