Berry, the dog who played Padfoot in a Harry Potter movie, has been given up by his owner of 10 years. Paul Thompson, the owner, said he was away from home to much to keep Berry and his other dog Porridge (13), who appeared in The Bill and White Teeth. It stinks that any dog gets given away, but it seems even worse that this guy made money off these dogs and now that they’re old, is just getting rid of them. Happily, Berry and Porridge will be adopted together.

I can’t believe he’d give these dogs up. They are obviously smart and well trained. I hope they find really wonderful, happy homes. If I lived in the UK, I’d consider taking them in!

How mean and heartless is that man! I hope Padfoot and Porridge find a loving home together.
Both Porridge and Berry (Shadowberry) found a loving home. Porridge passed in December 2011 of cancer and Berry I’m sure was by his side. Berry I think is still alive living with his adoptive family.
