Wal-Mart Quietly Pulls Chicken Jerky From Shelves

Despite no public recall, Wal-Mart quietly removed Chicken Jerky Strips from Import-Pingyang Pet Product Co. and Chicken Jerky from Shanghai Bestro Trading from shelves in July. Because it isn’t an official recall, Wal-Mart is handling the testing of the product instead of the FDA. It also means many people could still be feeding the treats to their dogs. Lovely.

  • I have been feeding WagginTrain jerky for 4 years. Just in the last few days, he has been lethargic and sleeps a lot. He also has been vomiting. My friend, Pat, called me today to tell me of the problem with, we have been calling it Waggin Tails. NOOOOOOO MORE!!!!!!!! I will search for a recipe that I can make for him. He deserves this. My daughter in law rescued him from a shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. He had been picked up as a stray when he was a very young puppy. After being in the shelter, he was in a prison, where an inmate fostered him, then back to the shelter. I have had him for almost 4 years now. I am a widow and he is my life. He is my reason for living. In a few days, I will be 82 years old and it makes no difference to him that when we walk, he has to wait for me. Love to all, Dawn and Robin
