Pet Food Recall: Banfield Pet Hospital Sees 30% Increase In Kidney Failure

Sadly, but not surprisingly, Banfield, The Pet Hospital, saw a 30% increase in cases of kidney failure from early December through early March, while the Veterinary Information Network estimates 5,000–10,000 pets have gotten sick and 1,000–2,000 have died.

Petconnection.com has 3,730 deaths reported by pet owners as of March 10th—these are self-reported and is not considered an official total yet.
